Divine Mercy Sunday is a very special Sunday when the Divine Floodgates from Heaven are wide-opened and Jesus offers us the total forgiveness of all sins and punishment to any soul, who goes to Confession and receives Him in Holy Communion, on that day. Join us for a Holy Hour and Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. Divine Mercy Sunday is the Sunday following Easter.
The Divine Mercy devotion began in Poland, during the years between the two World Wars. Jesus Christ appeared to a young, uneducated nun by the name of Faustina Kowalska, and entrusted to her the message of his Divine Mercy for all mankind. "The Message of Divine Mercy is that God is merciful. He is love itself poured out for us, and He wants no one to escape that merciful love. The message is that God wants us to turn to Him with trust and repentance while it is still a time of mercy, before He comes as the just Judge. This turning with trust to Him who is Mercy itself is the only source of peace for mankind. Turning to and imploring God's mercy is the answer to the troubled world. There is no escaping that answer." (Marian Press, The Message of Divine Mercy)

We all have need of Jesus' mercy in our lives. Therefore, incorporate the devotion of Divine Mercy into your daily routine today. When you do, consider these words spoken by Christ to St. Faustina:
"Write, secretary of My Mercy, speak of My Great Mercy, for the dreadful day of My Justice is slowly approaching. Tell the world about My Mercy and My Love. I am consumed with a desire to pour out My Mercy on human souls. O, how they hurt Me when they refuse My Mercy. I cannot punish even the most hardened sinner, if he appeals to My Mercy. He is immediately granted pardon through My incomprehensible and unfathomable Mercy. My compassionate and loving Heart is inflamed with an intense longing for the salvation of souls. When they turn to Me, I can hardly restrain My joy, and I rush forth to meet them. My Heart finds joy in forgiveness. I have no greater desire nor happiness than to be able to forgive."
